I Caught A Glimpse Of Me Today
Though ever present pain greeted me
when I opened my eyes,
My mind was not foggy!
I praised God as I realized...
I caugt a glimpse of me today!
I could think clearly
and concentration didn't make my head ache!
I could be my old creative self;
I felt the thrill of wonder at what I might make...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
I felt like my former witty self
and ideas flowed quickly as before.
I prayed that it would last!
I hungered for more...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
A song was on my lips
unable to remain in a heart so full and eager!
I sang out loud to myself and God;
No one else around to hear and it didn't matter...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
The reflection in the mirror
was not merely a shadow of a memory.
There she was...just like before!
It was really me...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
Though my body was racked with pain
there was joy on my face
and at that moment I was secure;
confident of God's grace...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
I felt confident of my gifts and talents;
I was sure of my abilities.
I wanted to play and sing, write, lead, encourage,
cook, sew...
The hardest part was choosing just one of these...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
Happiness flooded my being
and brought the twinkle back to my eyes!
Optimism was again truth;
Pesimism, again lies...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
I wanted to take a picture of this moment
for all my friends to see.
So many who know me now did not know me then;
I wanted them to meet the real me...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
I wanted to climb a mountain
and be granted a voice that all could hear!
I wanted to shout, "Look...THIS is me!"
and share this moment with all those I hold dear...
I caught a glimpse of me today!
Reality set in and I knew in a day, hour, or moment
Fibromyalgia could again take it all away.
I prayed dear GOD, help me remember...

Eclipse of Doubt
Some days I am so sure!
My faith seems an endless amount!
Then life happens...
And I experience an eclsipse of doubt.
My heart becomes so heavy;
My mind is surrounded with darkness all about!
I am sure that I am lost forever,
Engulfed in an eclipse of doubt!
Everthing overwhelms me!
I am lost, confused, unable to find my way out!
No light can penetrate the utter blackness that exists
In an eclipse of doubt!
Satan whispers the score he has kept
And the number is too great to count!
He tells me I am forever doomed to exist
In the torment which is the eclipse of doubt!
Then a still, small voice stirs inside me.
Suddenly on eagle's wings my spirit mounts!
Jesus says, "I am able to keep tht which is committed unto me against that
day!"
....The Son's brightness destroys the eclipse of doubt!

Sweet Sleep
Watching the skies for a sign
hoping so badly it hurts
Shudders run through my mind
darkness, beautiful night
Flashes and voices through my mind
lost in a sea of black,
creating beauty with fantasy
in the ugliness of reality
Unrequited love
When do I get a chance?
When do I get some time?
All the signs say no
but whispers in my mind say go.
You won't listen to the air
You won't pick up on the waves
crashing against the walls you built.
You were my dream
I can't see you
I can't touch you
I can't hear you
I can't taste you, smell you
I can't see your stuff
I can't be near you
I can't look at you
I can't give up on you
I can't get you out of my head
I can't let you die
You are my dream, my nightmare, my everything

Love Lasts Forever
You don't understand, love lasts forever
It's never going away
You think it's all a joke
I know you'll regret it someday
You'll never find anyone
That would treat you as good as me
I would have done anything for you
I just wish you'd see
You act like I have no feelings
That just shows you have no heart
That night I thought we'd be together forever
I thought we'd never be apart
I don't think I've ever cried so much
Not over the same guy
I just wish that day comes when we talk
And I have the strength not to cry
You told me it's time I move on
And believe me, I try
But love lasts forever
And forever makes me cry

Shoreline Streak
The horse bursts out of the woods
onto the shoreline
pounding earthy sand under her
sweeping over the rocks
her golden-tan mane and tail flowing
each stride more graceful
each leap more forceful
Flying over the ground
like Pegasus fallen from the sky
the wind tosses her mane
as though playing a game
She reaches the water's edge
accelerating like an arrow,
nothing can catch her now-
even the wind tires trying
and the beach and cliffs
gape in awed silence
at the dark palomino streak of speed
the horse has become.

What Is Love
Love can be sweet which comes from the heart
Two people in love will never fall apart
Love can be blind which you cannot see
Love can be precious as you and me
Love can be good, love can be bad.
Love can even make you sad.
So when you find that love and that love is true
Make sure that guy really do love you.

Poison Ivy
Sneaking round, climbing, bracing, burning in my heart,
the ivy snake that bristles through me, tears my heart apart.
Arms are going, head is heavy, legs that dance their own
rythm of another, tired, roots anchored into stone.
Shoulders falling forward finding earth in which to grow,
lungs that stop half empty, filled, with solid gurgling snow,
blackened by the air which feeds the ivy in the wall,
the edifice of torment dissolving icily down the hall.
Reaching out, tendrils sprout, another bone to chew,
the dogs of war which leave the scars in another broken shoe,
buds of growth, to reach and touch, to bind, to reach the core,
the rotten apple broiling, silently, into pulp that is no more.
The roots again, remain the same,
the earth sows seed to life.
Where ivy yearns the lessons it learns
the host knows only strife.

You said you'd lead me to my dreams
you said you'd be my guide
My dream was to wake and see your face thats one dream
I cannot replace
Your touch brightened my day, I hope our hearts are star crossed,
that our love will find its way
Once again I'm lost in a twisted maze
I will be for the rest of my days

For you, I would walk to the ends of the earth
For you, I would swim across the deepest of seas,
You are the one who sets my soul at ease.
You take the pain away, burn the scars away, fulfill
my everyday.
Without you, in my life, my days would be longer, my
nights would be darker, endless heartache, with
continuous, lonesome, hopelessness
For you, I would give my last breath, just to fill yours with life,
you are my other half, my missing piece, please say you'll be
my wife?
You bring hope, to a broken heart, to a lost soul, I need you,
I long for you, to touch you, to hold you, to feel the taste of your
precious kiss.
Let me be the one, to comfort you in times of need, hold you when lifes
unkind, open my heart to you, when you need love.
Let me be the one to bring you the stars, present you the moon,
and offer you the world at your very fingertips.
I want to feel the passion from your lips, admire the sincerity
in your smile, get hypnotized from the innocence in your eyes, and
feel the warmth of your body next to mines.
For you, I would give anything, do anything, please just say you'll
always be there?
Share with me your ultimate desires, honor me with your utmost fantasies,
let me take you to bitter sweet ecstasies.
For you, I would give ultimate happiness, a lifetime supply of joy, and
my undying love and devotion.
For me, distance is no obstacle, in the eyes of two, who love unconditionally, who feel each others soul from the strikes of a keyboard.
