 The Poetry Corner
Alex's Niche The web page is dedicated to the poetry of writers like you. Each week, we will feature your poetry, let you know about poetry contests, have our own contests for the best love poems and other forms of poetry, and more. This page was inspired by and is dedicated to Alexandria Jordan, the founder of The Writer's Niche. Each week, I will be adding to her ongoing poetry reflections and she will be sharing her other poetry writings. Please submit your poetry in the form below and we'll add it here. We'll start our own ©UniqueCritique poetry collection. I look forward to sharing with you.
Moments in Nature...Glimpses of God
Alexandria Jordan
(1)
Gentle, irregular curves of
plush, green, summer-time grass
frame calm, clear waters
which glisten in the sunlight,
reflecting a blue sky
with fluffy white clouds scattered about...
A picture painted by the hand of God.
(2)
Majestic trees with trunks
brown, strong, and tall
stand at attention
reaching for the sun and sky above
while their tender, green leaves
rustle gently in the breeze
whispering in unison a melody...
A song that only God could compose or orchestrate!
(3)
Expanses of plush grass
separate groves of mature trees.
Soft waves form on the water
as leaf-lined branches sway in the breeze.
Beauty and peace co-exist in this moment...
and the creation sees the heart of the Creator.
(4)
Nightfall brings the mist which rests upon the waters
and is revealed by the daybreak
just before the sunlight's warmth chases away the smoke-gray fog
allowing images of green grass, tall trees, and blue sky
to reflect in the pool of still waters
...a mirror fashioned by God.
(5)
A gloomy gray sky cries
innumerable silvery, crystalline droplets
over the parched ground, thirsty trees, and receding lakeshore
as heaven obediently opens to bring a season of drought to an end...
God exercises His perfect will and undeserved, boundless mercy yet again.
